Bridge to Health Medical and Dental will be visiting Uganda on February 3-17, 2018 with the support of Ethiopian Airlines Canada and many other corporate sponsors and partners. In particular, Ethiopian Airlines Canada is assisting with discounted travel rates for the entire brigade and is providing us with extra baggage space allowance. This type of support from Ethiopian Airlines Canada helped the Bridge to Health team to get more bodies to the rural locations that we service in Africa and allows them to carry the equipment, medication and supplies that we need to effectively do their work in the field.

The work in Uganda is done in partnership with KIHEFO, a local non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to community development in Kabale District, southwest Uganda. Together with its director Dr. Geoffrey Anguyo, and local staff on the ground, our brigade works long hours each day to ensure that the masses of individuals seeking medical and dental care are treated and followed up on as needed. Aside from providing medical and dental health to locals in need, Bridge to Health also assists KIHEFO in training and educating local  volunteer practitioners in an effort towards building a sustainability local system that can thrive long after our brigade has left.

Bridge to Heath brigades are made of volunteers from all ethnicities and backgrounds including dentists, hygienists, pharmacists, doctors, nurses, and non-medical staff that assist us with administrative and operational duties.  Any interested individuals looking to volunteer with Bridge to Health visit their website at
