Enheed, a Canadian-based nonprofit, aims to bridge the gap between young Ethiopians living in the diaspora and Ethiopia. Since 2015, this organization has been sending groups of young Ethiopians to the motherland to work and learn through experience. There have been three cohorts of young people between the ages of 19 and 29, so far, that have travelled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. While there, they volunteer with local organizations based on their interests and experience. Our partner organizations include the African Union -CIDO, Bluemoon, PADET, Whiz Kids, and many more. Participants in this one month program also get to visit change-makers in the country, including Ethiopian Airlines and Ethiopian Commodity Exchange, that will surely leave them in awe and inspired.

Applications for the 2019 cohort are now open. A group of youth will be travelling to Ethiopia in August to live, volunteer and reconnect with their homeland. If you know any young people between the ages of 16-29 that may be interested, encourage them to apply using this link or visit our website at www.enheed.org.
