Ethiopian H.E. Ambassador Nasise Challi Jira and Legesse Geremew Haile, deputy head of mission, Ethiopian Embassy from Ottawa, along with Ethiopian Airlines Canada Country Manager Samson Arega met with Dr. Ira Sankiewicz, co-founder of Bridge To Health with organization’s Executive Director Genevieve Zimanyi at a recent meeting in Toronto.
In 2020 Bridge To Health Canada will be entering its 8th year of providing communities with innovative and scalable health care programs to under-serviced rural areas of East Africa. With their 10-day outreach programs, it is the conduit to providing hands-on training to local medical and dental health care providers allowing for sustainability and long-term change in the communities served.
Since 2012 Bridge To Health Canada has treated over 45,000 patients, trained more than 750 health care professionals and has developed innovative, cost-effective programs surrounding pediatric pneumonia and cervical cancer.
