” The cargo market is growing and Samson Arega Ethiopian Airlines Canada Country Manager says building relationships and awareness of Ethiopian Airlines cargo and logistic services in Canada is vital.
“The Canadian market is very important to us. The cargo network is massive and we want to ensure businesses and trade are well aware of the services we have, “says Arega.
Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services gives airport-to-airport services by stretching its wings to over 91 destinations on both freighter and belly hold services. On routes that do not have direct service Ethiopian arranges connection flights for a wider coverage.
“We have state of the art technology using the latest technologies for data, information and market intelligence, providing reliable information and access to our clients,” added Arega.
The main hub for Ethiopian cargo is Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa with established European hub in Liège, Belgium, and a West African hub in Lomé, Togo.
“Our fleet of 10 777-F and 2 737 Freighters can accommodate a variety of general cargo commodities, perishables, live animals as well as oversized Freight which can all be tracked online.” said Arega.
The freight division, Ethiopian Cargo, serves 44 global freight destinations (15 in Africa, seven in the Middle East and Asia, and two in Europe), with a current annual uplift of around 200,000 tonnes.
